Game Setup
1. Place Monster and Legends boxes nearby.
2. Place town pieces in Grimheim.
Always include Freyja's Well
3a. Place 3 damage markers in Troll Caves.
Hero may remove them to remove damage from itself.
3b. Place 3 mana markers in Nailfare.
Hero may gain them.
3c. Place 3 gold markers in Wyrm Lair.
Hero may gain them.
4. Place the Rune Stone on the first spot of time track.
5. Shuffle the yellow and red monster cards into separate decks.
Each player draws a yellow monster card and places monsters accordingly.
6. All players take a player board.
7. Each player chooses a hero.
Hero deck and miniature.
Place miniature in Grimheim.
8. Place hero card, starting equipment, and starting ability outside of player board = active cards.
Cards on player board aren't yours yet.
9. Place 1 player cube at green start of upgrade cost track, and 2 in the empty Actions spots.
10. Shuffle remaining ability cards (blue) and place them on the Abilities spot with Level 1 side up.
11. Shuffle remaining equipment cards (green) and place face-up on Equipment spot.
If you complete the quest, you get the equipment.
12. Shuffle event cards (red) and place face-down on Event Deck spot.
13. Add 2 gold to each player board, 1 mana to starting ability card, and draw 1 card from Event deck.
WIN: Freyja's Well survives until end of time track.
LOSE: The entire village of Grimheim is destroyed.
