Escaping Extinction

Prepare the map

1. Place the Oasis Tile in the center of the play area.
2. Shuffle the 18 other terrain hex-tiles and place them facedown around the Oasis.

Prepare the Token Supply and card decks

1. Place the Wood, Food, Vines, and Rocket Parts nearby. This is the Supply.
2. Place the Lava Flow and Cave tokens next to the Supply.
3. Shuffle the Rocket Docket deck and place it next to the Supply. Reveal the first one.
4. Shuffle the Exploration deck

Prepare the Meteor

1. Place the Meteor track in view of all players.
2. Place the Meteor on the start space of the track.
3. Prepare the Meteor deck:
   1. Remove the 3 EARTHQUAKE cards and set them aside. Shuffle the rest of the cards.
   2. Deal those cards into 3 facedown piles (two piles of 4 and one of 5 cards).
   3. Shuffle one EARTHQUAKE card into each of the 3 piles.
   4. Place the 3 piles one on top of the other, with the 5-card pile on top.
4. Place the Meteor deck and the Launchpad near the Meteor track.

Prepare the Dinos

1. Place the Dino boards in front of the player(s) controlling them
2. Set Dino health to full
3. Fill each Dino card's Food section (one token per slot)
4. Place each Dino token on the Oasis tile

Begin Game

Objective

Win: 5 Rocket Parts, 8 Wood, and all 4 Dinos on Oasis/Launchpad
Lose: Meteor reaches Earth
