Game Setup

Board Setup

  1. Place the game board in the center. Use the Basic side (1-16) or Expert side (1-24). 5 players must use Expert.
  2. Rotate the Earth so the bold sectors (1 and 9 on Basic; 1 and 13 on Expert) are aligned.
  3. Each player places one Researcher token on space 1 of the Time Track in random order. Keep the second token aside.

Player Setup

  1. Give each player: wet-erase marker, note board, satellite/score board, space boards, and a matching player screen.
  2. Stack space boards and orient them to match the game board from your point of view.
  3. Place your player screen to hide your boards.
  4. Take your set of 26 Photos. On Basic, return the 8 Expert Photos (hollow corners) to the box.

App Setup

  1. Install and launch the companion app. One player generates a game code ("Start Basic/Expert Game"). All others enter the code.
  2. Verify all devices show the same game code, then press Continue.
  3. View Quadrant Modifiers in the app and place the matching tokens on the board.
  4. Select your player color in the app.
  5. Rotate the on-screen board to match your view, then tap the lock icon.
  6. Place the Luna token in the sector shown on the board and record it on your space board.
  7. Choose your difficulty level (Beginner / Experienced / Genius) and record your starting information.

Before the First Turn

In reverse turn order (last player first), each player places one Researcher token in the Quadrant of their choice. Then press "Start Game" on all devices.

Objective

WIN: Be the first to correctly identify the UAP's sector AND the contents of all 3 neighboring sectors.

The player with the most points at the end wins.

Finding the UAP: 10 pts for first. Other correct players score 2-10 pts based on how far back they are on the Time Track.

Tiebreakers

  1. Most points for finding the UAP.
  2. Most verified photos.
  3. Found the UAP first.
