How to Play

Sequence of Play

1. DRAW: Every player draws 2 Scooby Gang cards from Draw deck. Select:

- One to save (place facedown in Save slot)

- One to play immediately

NOTE: In 2-player game, draw three cards and return two to the Save deck

If Draw deck is empty, shuffle Save deck.

If too few cards remain for every player, YOU LOSE. GAME OVER.

2. REVEAL: All players reveal chosen card simultaneously.

Draw Monster card

Determine turn order based on initiative number

3. ACTION:

Player turn:

1. Optional: Move 

- Through locations indicated with road sign (arrow)

- May pass other players but not stop in their location

EXCEPT Swamp's End General Store and Mystery Machine

- Suffer fright when entering space with monster/vice versa

Discard 2 cards from Draw deck

- If ending turn at Mystery Machine you may:

Discard gas token and drive to any location

2. Perform location action

Perform 1 available action at location:

- Recover discarded Scooby Gang cards

- Restore discarded Visitor tokens to any location

- Remove Monster tokens from any location

- Gather Resources (max 6 slots on ID card)

- Craft Traps ONLY at General Store

    Spend any number of resources on any number of traps

    When complete, flip trap card and return resources to pool

- Recover a haunted location

    While at location, discard top two cards from Draw deck

    Place 3 visitor tokens at location

    Location no longer haunted

3. Can perform special ability at any time, once per game.

Flip ability token facedown

Monster turn:

1. If monster eyes on card, perform Monster Ability.

- If monster tokens required but none remain, GAME OVER.

2. Move by following road signs of proper color

    Optional: Use Monster Movement tokens to help plan

- Character suffers fright when monster enters/vice versa

Discard 2 cards from Draw deck

3. Scare away visitors.

- When monster enters location with visitors, remove visitor token

If last visitor removed, location is haunted

Haunted = no location actions, no more visitors

If 3 locations haunted, GAME OVER
