Sequence of Play
1. Move Your Character
Roll one Pumpkin Die and move along the path. You may share a space with players and Ghosts.
2. Trick or Treat
If you land on a doorstep you have not visited (no exact roll required), say "Trick or treat!" and spin the spinner:
- Take candy from Pumpkin Bowl: Place a player token on the house.
- "No One Home" / "Out of Candy": No candy, no player token.
- Spin Again:
- If Banshee is on the Full Moon Tracker, move her to the next space.
- Cloudless full moon space: summons Ghost #2.
- Next space after that: summons Ghost #3.
- Last space: Banshee enters the board from the Haunted House.
- If Banshee is already on the board: roll and resolve the Ghost Die.
- Then spin again.
If there is a BOOst Token at the house and you have not already picked up two BOOst Tokens this game, you may take it. (Max 2 per game.)
3. Haunted House
If you land on the Haunted House (only once per game), take a glow stick and roll the Haunted House Die:
- Take candy from Pumpkin Bowl.
- Take 1 candy and roll again.
- BOO! Drop a candy, then run 2 spaces away.
- Portal: Get sent to a ghost portal -the player on your right chooses which one.
- Extra BOOst Token: Take one (limit does not apply). If none remain, reuse one you already used.
4. Candy Coffin
If you reach the Candy Coffin, roll the Ghost Die:
- Roll 1: you got caught -take one candy from the coffin.
- Any other result: take all candy from the coffin.
5. Move a Ghost
If you have left the Safe Neighborhood, roll one Ghost Die and move any one Ghost along the path.
Ghost Collisions
Whenever a player and a Ghost occupy the same space:
- If on Hallowed Ground: nothing happens.
- Else, if carrying a glow stick: you may discard it to scare the Ghost away (Ghost returns to Ghost Start).
- Else, each Ghost takes candy and returns to Ghost Start:
- Green Ghost #1: Takes 1 candy, puts it in the coffin.
- Yellow Ghost #2: Takes 2 candy, puts it in the coffin.
- Purple Ghost #3: Takes 3 candy, puts it in the coffin.
- Banshee: Takes half your candy (max 6) and eats it! (Once per game.)
Ghosts begin their first movement along their matching colored path markers.
Costume Powers (once per game)
- Witch -Fly! Move 5 spaces, over ghosts but not over walls.
- Vampire -Poof! Vanish and appear at an adjacent house after trick-or-treating.
- Frank -Repel! Roll Ghost Die to move a Ghost away from you before taking your turn.
- Mummy -Wrap! Freeze one Ghost in place for one round. May be used during any player's turn.
- Werewolf -Howl! Scare a Ghost back to Ghost Start.
Final Scoring
Each player draws one random Secret Candy Token, then total your score:
- Number of candies
- + Number of player tokens on houses
- + 1 for an unused glow stick
- + 1 for every pair of candies matching your Secret Candy Token
- + 1 for every pair of Banshee's favorite candy
Tiebreaker: Most candies wins. Still tied? Whoever returned home first wins.
