Setup
- OPTIONAL: Give each player a Role card face up. (Easier)
- Shuffle bomb cards, then form a deck with appropriate number of bombs based on mode, difficulty, and player count.
- Deal bomb cards.
- If solo game: Deal yourself 4 bomb cards.
- Cards must show at least three different point values.
- If not, redraw as needed and then return extras to the deck.
- Else: 2 bomb cards face up to each player.
- One card must be worth 4-6 points and the other 1-3 points.
- If not, redraw as needed and then return extras to the deck.
- OPTIONAL: Shuffle Fuse cards into bomb deck after dealing. (Harder)
- Flip top five cards from bomb deck and place face-up in row.
- Shuffle spark cards and place beside bomb deck.
- Put dice in bag and shake thoroughly. Choose first leader and give him/her the bag.
Objectives
Win:
- No bombs remaining in face-up row or face-down deck
- No spark cards in play
- In Heroic difficulty or timeless mode: No player bomb cards remain.
Lose:
- Zero dice in bag when you must draw from it
- In normal mode: Timer reaches 00:00
- In timeless mode: Spark deck is empty when time to draw from it.
Difficulty Levels and Modes
Normal Mode:
- Training: No fuses, 15-24 bombs
- Standard: No fuses, 17-27 bombs
- Expert: Fuses, 20-30 bombs
- Elite: Fuses, 22-32 bombs
- Heroic: Fuses, 24-34 bombs
Epic Mode:
- Combine both games: Fuse and Fuse: Countdown
- Recommended for player count > 5 or timeless mode.
Timeless Mode:
- No timer
- All 10 fuse cards
- Win by defusing ALL bombs: Face-up row, face-down deck, and player bomb cards.
- Lose: Dice bag or spark deck is empty when time to draw from it.
