Back to the Future: Dice Through Time

Sequence of Play

1. Draw and Place Event Cards

First Player draws Event cards:

• 2 players = 3 Events
• 3 players = 5 Events
• 4 players = 8 Events

Reveal drawn events one at a time

If event shows Biff icon, move standee to event location

2. Roll dice

Any dice rippled in a previous round may be reclaimed by owner.

Players then roll dice simultaneously.

3. Perform actions

Beginning with First Player, take one turn each:

• Use a die to carry out an action:
• Complete an event (if Biff not present)
• Place dice with symbols matching event icons
• All events at a location MUST be completed at same time
• If success:
  • Clear events and paradoxes from location
  • Draw item card (max 2 at a time)
• Perform dice action
  • Flux Capacitor = move to same location in another year
  • Arrow = move to any location in current year
  • Fist = move Biff from your location to another location in same year
  • Lightning = Reroll any/all unspent dice
  • Doc Brown = Remove any two Paradox tokens from the board
  • Wrench = Use as any icon on an event
  • Additional dice actions:
    • Move = Spend any die to move one location in same year
    • Mr. Fusion = Any two matching dice can be used as any other symbol
• Return an item
  • If no events and no Biff in location, discard item card.
  • Move OUTATIME marker one space to the left.
  • Draw Einstein token and place it face-up on the board.
• Ripple dice
  • Place unspent die on DeLorean's location.
  • Any player at that location in the PRESENT or FUTURE may use that die.

4. Advance OUTATIME marker

Determine which year has the most locations covered by events.

Count the locations, then advance OUTATIME marker that many spaces, plus one additional space for each Paradox.

5. Add a Paradox token to each event location that advanced the OUTATIME marker in previous step.

Max 1 per location

6. Pass First Player marker to the left

General Information

A location can have multiple events, all of which must be resolved at the same time.

Any player may remove and use an Einstein token while performing actions.

When two DeLoreans meet, advance the OUTATIME tracker by two spaces.
